[Music] [Music] I was working towards getting a PhD in English literature um and then I joined band and the band happened to be this one and accidentally became a bass player which was hard to explain to my parents let [Music] me I wanted to be in a band since I was like 12 maybe kept trying like didn’t find the right people like was in so many bands I went and studied music so I was trying really really hard then finally it happened and I was like [Music] yes like we don’t take any elements away we just add in more things so it’s yeah artistic and experimental but also just fun choruses that kind of thing it’s very theatrical there’s kind of bits of lots of different genres like pop rock uh yeah it’s very um very [Music] maximalist uh we met at University me and Abby the singer met in the first day that we moved to London so it was obviously meant to be um and then over the course of the time that we were at University in London we just kind of started thinking that we wanted to form a band together and um needed a guitar player that’s where we coed Emily into the situation um and then yeah it only became a band properly in in 2021 when we could start playing [Music] cakes what I a dream come true to do music for a job and we uh enjoy that very much for me alive
