[Music] we uh we finished like a 7 We Tour in the United States we had four days off and then we came directly here to Europe and that we’ve been on tour for about 2 weeks so really I’ve been on tour for like n weeks and I’m losing my mind but I’m also finding it in every [Music] city as difficult as it is and like even before the set tonight I was feeling really emotional and a little sad honestly and just like missing home and missing Comforts of that and then it’s like I had I messaged some friends and I was like I’m feeling like sad out here and then you play a show like an amazing show to thousands of people and you’re like oh I’m cured I feel great [Music] now [Music] oh but yeah I mean what you asked about the band we just it’s very corny but we just love each other so much and so it makes how difficult this is more manageable just because we actually enjoy being around each [Music] other I I I’ve always really never really shied away from talking about sex and sexuality on albums but this is the first album where I was was like uh purposefully alone like re I was like I’m not dating anyone anymore like I’m going to be alone I’m just going to focus on myself and my health and this project and just pour myself into music and that can yield incredible results and a lot of growth but then it also yields like to be touched again you know like after a certain point and I think that really poured into the music but me and a few of the other band members we were all kind of going through very similar things at the same time of like kind of just removing ourselves from other people and pouring ourselves into each other I mean I would love for people to get over themselves when it comes to the word [ __ ] like the BBC the BBC they still call us mannequin P we’re playing glass and Bri it’s a televised performance and I just know they’re going to tell me you can’t even say your band name like that might not be true like fact check me in two weeks when it happens but I just I don’t know like I would be so excited to be part of this like cultural revolution of like women and people of color taking a place in rock music and and not just being there but being successful at it being admired for it being something that people aspire to be you know whereas like for us we we became our own role models [Music] I think I I mean I have like my ideas but I think for the most part maybe people don’t like the sound of a woman screaming at them like reminds them too much of their mother or something get over it boys um but I don’t know things are changing and so much like in America when we play our audiences are like majority just young girls and I know that they’re all going home and being like I want to start a b and that’s that’s like you know we’re not trying to get to the main stage and play these performances and close the door behind us you know like we want to leave it open and invite in a new generation to like be part of this this revolution with [Music] us I grew up um as a Christian I was baptized just in okay so I’m definitely not going to hell try me it’s it’s like what I say on stage like I see the point of religion like religion is a lot like rock music religion is a lot like a live performance because you know a Church sermon brings people together people people go to church looking for Community looking for cathartic release looking for an understanding that they’re seen and that’s what rock music is too that’s what a concert is it’s a concert is a group of people looking for Community looking for cathartic release looking for an acknowledgement how is religion not at least evolved to be about [Music] love it it’s funny uh we played a show like two days ago and this girl came up to me and she was like if you were a cult leader I would join your cult rock bands are Cults they are they absolutely are you know I don’t want to be like oh no they’re not they are they kind of are but I mean my if we were uh I mean the most important thing is just to be allowing people to be whoever they are [Music] a
