after the re-election of yel bhon P from French president Emanuel macron’s Centrist Alliance as the president of the French National Assembly six vice presidents were elected this Friday evening in Paris one of the surprising outcomes is that two out of these six come from the hard left El or France unbowed party uh which have really been boycotted since the start of the legislative elections by both mael Centrist Alliance and the farri national rally so that means that the national rally actually gave some of the votes to their main Ral in Parliament why well that’s because they’ve really been isolated since they came in third in France’s legislative elections and they’re hoping that these votes could convince the left uh to hand them over some of the key positions in the National Assembly however some of the MPS that we spoke to uh told us very clearly they will never give one single vote to the far right and that’s what happened uh the national rally did not obtain one single vice president position two others went to mackerel’s camp and two others to the conservative uh traditional right-wing party recently rebranded as the Republican right on Saturday uh more key positions uh will be handed over including some standing committees like the finance one which the national rally has really been vying for Sophia katsen cover reporting from Paris for your news
