and now mros I’m sorry for yes thank you chair M director General it’s a pleasure to have you here as a first audition on this new parliamentary session you know energy is in the center of of many of our issues in in Europe and we can look at this uh as you mostly did being proud of the mo things that have been done or can be worried about the things that we still have to do and that respect I mean two facts that you all already mentioned and I will repeat that worry me the the Energy System still produces about between 2/3 and 3/4 of all CO2 emissions and electricity electricity cost in Europe for households and companies are still between one and a half and two times higher than our competitors in the United States now this can only mean that we have a lot to do and we have to accelerate the energy transition and of course Europe has already done the first step as it always does is has the regulatory framework it’s good but it’s far from enough we have to have much larger investment much larger in Renewables and clean energy like nuclear as you said and when I talk to investors in the energy sector what they tell me is that one of the reasons they do not accelerate their own Investments is because of bureaucracy and complications so first question what exactly are we going to do in Practical terms to simplify not just the permit thing but the whole investment process and the second thing that is crucial is to inter connect the various um energy producing uh countries in Europe especially what’s happening in Iberia for instance not being able to sell Energy across the PES is an absolute shame so I wanted to to ask you all of Europe and particularly Iberia with the rest of the European Union thank you
