The 430 Scuderia 16M and the 458 Speciale Aperta are my two favourite Ferraris … largely due to those phenomenal high-revving N/A Flat-Plane Crank V8 engine masterpieces. The sound of naturally aspirated V8 engines at revs conveys the feeling of greater speed … same with the F1 cars of yesteryear.
Edit : What a beautiful spec of the F430.
I’ve seen videos of Porsches being revved up to 9000 rpm’s, and near the red line their engine sound as if they are about to explode! This Ferrari engine sounds solid at 9000 rpm.
