Gearbox seems to have very long throw, a bit typical for that era and actually always been the case in BMW'S you need to learn to life wirh it, were never the fastest or accurate manual gearboxes. But it was a typical spec of a BMW. Nice car , in this mint state also probably ridiculous expensive.
And you guys should've seen the 95 M5 Touring Elektra in British Racing Green over Hazelnut Nappa leather with BRG carpet and a 6spd that was just sold on Bring a Trailer 😍😖
If you compare interiors from old money with today's interior of new money.. you can tell where the real quality stands

The E34 is a great car because it has this classic, elegant and sporty BMW peak design of the 80’s, but it’s also very sophisticated and modern with the 24 valves engines, ABS, traction control for the last production years… and yet feels raw and fun to drive. A true driver’s car and very reliable too!
