Even watching this just makes me want to get in mine and push it through that beautiful rev-range. Never gets old.
Would be a great engine if not for the unnecessarily difficult maintenance and valve cleaning jobs from the direct injection
When Audi started to do away with the V8’s to the V6, I find it very insulting..

This is the perfect combination for power and sound. Where you can enjoy the whole power band and experience the engine fully without been stupid fast or scared.
Symphony engine, quick gearbox, great interior and great exterior, total build quality: those years were Audi's pinnacle.
Wish you could put the year of the car in the stats.

This takes me back. I remember the first time I drove one of these. Couldn't get over how well the engine matched the gearbox and how much the car wanted to be revved out, what a blast! Exhaust was good but nowhere near as loud as this! On a side note it's amazing how different the s5 v8 and the rs5 v8 drive. Carbon build up on the intake was a massive problem though. Plenty of walnuts!

I love that V8 in this RS5 but the straight pipe exhaust is not a good choice in my opinion.
The amount of rasp is huge, making loud exhaust is not hard.
Making loud exhaust without rasp is hard i think resonated X pipe + straight-through end mufflers would help a lot.
Also, the 100-200 is not that impressive unfortunately.
Skoda with 1.8 TSI stage 2 does 10.80s with 375hp and 440nm.
This low key sounds like a V12 at the high end RPM range. I have this version of Audi but A5 with just a stage 1 tune. I can’t imagine how much more fun this would be!

It dont accelerate like 450 HP,more like max 300 hp.

I love the sound. But this is just too loud. I mean its a classy car and the straight pipe imo takes away from that. Id much prefer a nice exhaust system with a valve.
