[Music] it’s just now the the r to cope itself and we will be happy to see everyone this is the momentum where everyone the whole climate Community should be in Baku we are ready and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone in [Music] Baku Baku the capital city of aaban home to almost 2 and a half million people and it’s about to get busier as they prepare to welcome in the world for cop 29 the United Nations framework convention on climate change build as the finance cop and an actionable one at that agreeing on a new climate Finance goal will lead the agenda as well as a global call to countries to update their National Climate commitments the cop site is situated at Baku Olympic Stadium the largest in aaban a dedicated 112,000 square m temporary structure has been built there for the duration of the conference when I started back in March and April let’s say uh starting by creating a team getting the right contractor on board getting all this project management done the stage that we we are at the moment is a completion stage so finally what are we doing now is a small touch-ups here and there so we can we can do some some painting works or some artworks around so there can be some branding being around the the doors and so on as well as testing and commissioning of all the it equipment AV Equipment and power sockets and all all these things obviously but we are pretty much there over 40,000 registered delegates will be here over the two weeks as well as a hundred presidents Prime Ministers and heads of state there are two zones the Blue Zone which is managed by the UNF C and the green zone which is managed by the cop presidency and of course is open to the public Baku is no stranger to Global Gatherings having hosted the Olympics Euro vision and Formula 1 with any International Event though comes a strategic operational and Logistics plan of action we have to have a very sophisticated crowd management plan in place and uh there’ll be an increase in the traffic intensity in Baku and um as you can see um today we’re filming in the intelligent tra traffic Management Center will be um directly involved in the traffic management process also uh we have to be prepared for any emergency events um we have uh special mobile units in place for this purpose and safety of high level visitors as well as the public is a top priority for aaban authorities we are putting necessary safety measures in place we have increased police Personnel and we are using technology provided by the Smart City camera system to make sure that everything is safe and secure travel and tourism contributes 9.1 trillion EUR to Global GDP cop 29 is an opportunity for aaban to capitalize on the sector’s potential as we can see uh a lot of examples from the world that uh a lot of countries shifting their economy uh towards the tourism sector they are spending their uh Capital which was gained from the different sector into the tourism sector and uh I will say that aeran is uh one of that countries we have huge tourism potential uh in terms of culture gastronomic natural tourism and as well we can get the example of the cop 29 uh we have a lot of interest uh investing on the my sector cop will aim to stimulate economic growth as well as seeing businesses commit to embracing more green transitions when we speak about the green transition we speak about the new types of economy overall so the role of the private sector in the global climate action is absolutely crucial it’s so important because private sector is coming with Technologies with Innovation with um with with I don’t know consumer Behavior so they can influence consumer Behavior so it’s important to engage with private sector the green transition is coming with risks and opportunities so it’s a very mixed uh process and it’s important to have tailor made approach to all categories the main airport in Baku has reinforced its services and extra provision of Hotel accommodation has been made across the city as the influx of guests prepare to arrive it’s a chance for travelers to explore more of the country our country I think is a jewel that has not been fully discovered there’s a lot to see there’s a lot of history there’s a lot of beauty there is uh you know you can ski uh in the winter in the mountains with nine climatic zones and you can swim in the summer as all eyes look towards Baku the message is clear that they’re open and ready for cop 29 business
