He showed a lot of fight getting it out of the grass. He would have blown the motor before taking a DNF

It was the most insane race I have ever seen! Glad nobody was too badly hurt but there was so much action! I’m glad one McLaren won!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡 Oscar did great 🇦🇺🏎️
If Lewis had made the mistakes that Noris and Piastri made people would be saying that he was washed and should retire. Both very lucky boys not to damage their cars and finish in the points.

Heart breaking stuff
The way Oscar destroyed his race proves McLaren were 100% right to tell him to hold position around the wet/dry cross point. He was clearly pushing too hard to catch up to Lando at the wrong moment, and it cost him his race and almost Lando's. I also believe the reason he lost it so much here is because he was rejoining way too fast to try and keep Max behind him, and it backfired. Also, before anyone comes crying to me, watch the post race interviews. Oscar himself said he was pushing too hard for these conditions.

All of this Australian 'curse' thing is a bit ridiculous as there's never been that many Aussie driver's & even driving a car thats been capable of winning. Saying that, I do feel bad for Mr Pastry, he only made a small error (like Norris) & paid quite a price. Great job to get it back on track. People power?
