Glad Seb wiped that smug junior driver's look off his face. Sounds harsh I know
Jann Mardenborough: Am I a joke to you?
Fantastic talent and definitely shows that you can transfer from sim to real life
More content like this please
this is insane! let's go!
jann madenborough v2
I love how sim racing drivers are getting more support from the big teams, lets go!
It's no longer a question whether sim racing can at least serve as preparation for the real thing.
The porshe's ffb was better in real life?
Give Opmeer a test
Superb.
Let's go mate! So cool that RBR are posting this, we need more exposure for sim-racing. It improves it for the average folk like me and allows more people to experience motorsport without forking hundreds of thousands!
This means there a chance anyone could get in a race car. Redbull have realised that sim racers who started at 20 can be just as fast as real life drivers who have been karting since they were 7.
I have been to snetterton on a Porsche only track event and I was expecting that the sim would help on my first real time laps, but I was blown away at how much it helped, I remember saying out loud “WOW” on my second lap.. sim is a fantastic tool end of…
Love James Kellet, brilliant Porsche cup racer
What nissan & sony did but to the next level because its redbull
yes. ask Lucas Ordóñez or the dozens of other guys racing today that came from the gt academy
Suellio Almeida has already proved you can!
Redbull team always amazes me with bringing something that a lot of people want to see. keep for the next episodes. Love it. lets goooooo
Super impressive!!
INCREDIBLE
Well done RedBull for making this possible ! Good luck Sebastian !
He looks like 90% Isack Hadjar and 10% Joshua Dürksen.
this is awesome
Awesome!!!
Fuck yeah
This idea is like 8 years old. It’s been done. There was even a movie made about it
simracing democratizes motorsports. A sport that used to be exclusively available to the uber rich now has a platform to test your mettle to see if you can be good at it
He‘s the real deal.
gotta love the obligatory shot of “drinks red bull”
I guess this series will end when he's racing with Max
Honestly, we have to give Nissan and Polyphony digital for taking such a leap with GT academy in 2008.
“Iracing is unrealistic”
There is often a negative connotation associated with sim racing, as many people believe it is simply a game, rather than a true metric for skill development. It all comes down to your ability to reference and adapt. You’re solely working with inputs in a sim, with very little feeling of the car other than force feedback. This can be both an advantage and hindrance once you are sat in a real race car. The sim is a tool. If you learn how to use it correctly, you’ll be just as fast in real life, if not faster with the proper training.
Amazing… this is every simracers dream come true and it put a huge smile on my face to see Seb do so well
Can't wait to see what this will lead to!
I can't wait to get back into sim racing. Currently on hold because of my business & financial ambitions so I am not distracted because I know, once I get back, it's a rabbit hole and one that I will get immersed in fully. Let's not forget, for us guys who're older (will be 50 next year), sim racing offers great mental stimulation needed in later parts of life.
